LBDSD is constantly researching new benefits
and service to provide to its members. We presently
offer the following:
- Property and liability insurance, through
Insurance Plus/Rezatto Group.
- Legislative efforts. With our professional
legislative representation in Pierre and our
grassroots communication, the association is
noted for its effectiveness against issues such
as dram shop, alcohol taxes, and opposing the
expansion of liquor licenses.
- Representation through ongoing communications
with South Dakota governmental and law enforcement
agencies dealing with beverage alcohol.
- Behind the Bar, a bi-monthly
newsletter, featuring the latest distributor
price listing, customer service tips, pointers
on how to reduce bar costs, on the rise legislative
information, new drink recipes, and more!
- Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM)
seminars - employee and instructor training.
- A forum, via quarterly association meetings,
open to all members to express personal views,
and giving every member a chance to exchange
business ideas with fellow business associates.
- An opportunity to join different committees
and become actively involved with them, such
as the Political Action Committee, where your
ideas and opinions will be discussed and considered.
Your voice will be heard on legislation.
- The Annual Business Convention and Trade
Show. With the latest in industry speakers
and newest ideas, the annual convention and
trade show lets you meet and exchange information
with your directors, distributors, suppliers
and other establishment owners like yourself.
